Embellishing
Sometimes there is that little something keeping you from wearing an item in your closet. Embellishments can provide a simple alteration or the zing needed to get that item back out into the world.
This dress was too tight on the hips and an unflattering length. It was shortened and width was provided by using an accent panel.
Even with the hem lowered, this dress was way too short. A panel was added at the bottom and covered buttons were placed on both the top and bottom panels to make it look like an original part of the design.
This wool suit was classy, but needed to be more playful. Shortening the jacket and adding red buttons gave it some fiestiness
This dress was made from super awesome fabric, but was just too plain. An asymmetrical collar was a great improvement.
Sometimes a statement is needed.
This dress is wool and has a stain under the neckline. Adding a lace collar with some matching trim on the sleeves may be a good fix. [note: I did not make this collar, it is merely an example of an embellishment. Available at aliexpress with which I am not affiliated]
The beaded collar was not the desired look. Adding a mod collar with an accent button may be the way to go.
